Season Opener Report

The 2026 Yamaha Past Masters season kicked off at Brands Hatch Indy on March 14-15. First round done, and what a weekend. Here's how it went.

The Weekend

Brands Hatch Indy is always a great way to start the season. Short circuit, plenty of close racing, and the YPM paddock in full swing. The TZR250 felt good from the off — build number 4 is the best yet.

The paddock vibe was class as always. That's the thing about YPM — it's not just the racing, it's the community. People helping each other out, sharing parts, lending tools. The paddock is home from home.

The Racing

Close, competitive, and exactly what you want from the YPM. The 2-strokes were singing round the Indy circuit. Every lap you could hear them coming from the other side of the track.

The bike performed well all weekend. Close, competitive racing — exactly what you want from the YPM.

Looking Ahead

Round 2 takes us to Oulton Park on 3-4 April. Completely different challenge — fast, flowing, with elevation changes that properly test bike and rider. Can't wait.
